With over 11,000 km of cycling routes, as a cycling destination Lower Saxony has something for everyone. Enjoy a relaxing ride across the flat landscape of East Frisia, experience the unique Wadden Sea - a UNESCO world heritage site on the coast - or enjoy the beautiful heather in bloom in August and September. Discover Lower Saxony’s half-timbered houses, castles dating back to the Weser Renaissance and the many cultural highlights of the region’s towns and cities - all by bike.
The Weser-Radweg (Weser cycle route), the “Grenzgängerrroute Teuto-Ems” and the Vechtetalroute (cycling route along the river Vechte) - all of which are quality cycling routes certified by the ADFC (German Cycling Association) - offer variety and highlights both on and off the actual route. For those who prefer to stay in one place, we recommend the day trips in the ADFC “RadReiseRegionen” (official bike tour regions) of Wesermarsch and Uelzen.
Discover Lower Saxony by bike and get your copy of the general cycling map “Radurlaub in Niedersachsen” (only in German) from our stand (Hall C6, Booth 216). We look forward to seeing you! More information under www.niedersachsen-tourism.com.
